Default Keyword research using the Adwords keyword tool

The Google adwords tool is a good way to research your keywords for your website as not only does it show how many times per month your keyword is searched for, it also prompts you with related terms that you could consider using.

This is often really effective because you can easily grab 4 or 5 longtail terms that you never thought of and rank easily for those terms (...or easier!)

I agree. Google keyword tool is really helpful. But what do you think about the accuracy of this tool?

That's a good question. Also worth pointing out is that the numbers are based on Adwords clicks (?) so I think they may differ from organic searches?

Very useful nonetheless.

The value of being in the number one position in the organic search for particular keywords can be compared to the price paid to be in the number one position in the paid search. Basically it's worth investing in SEO to get your site up to the number one position if the investment is less than the cost of paying to be in the number one position with an Adwords ad. Except for one thing. A lot of people would rather click on the number one organic result rather than the number on Adwords ad since the organic one is probably more relevant.

Cheers,
Evan

It looks to be a very powerful keyword tool.
