Default eWasted - The Auction Site for Construction Professionals

Welcome to a revolutionary new marketplace aimed exclusively at building links between construction professionals.

The goal is to focus on the reuse of waste and excess building materials and to find buyers for the considerable amount of waste, which is unnecessarily disposed in landfill each year.

The emphasis is on local action. The intention is to change the way the construction industry thinks of waste, not as a burden but potential for additional revenue. A huge amount of money is unnecessarily wasted due to landfill taxes. With the increasingly pressing issue of environmentally friendly construction methods now is the time to change the approach to waste.

It's totally FREE, from registration to sale, for an introductory period please visit and join our community!

Please Visit at: www.ewasted.co.uk

If anyone would like to advertise on the site who is linked to the construction industry please don't hesitate to ask. I will try and set something up...

Please leave me any constructive criticisms or comments of what you like. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, interesting concept you have there. So basically after a build anything that is left over normally gets taken to landfill?.... I thought they just buried it all on site about 3 inches under the lawn!

I am kind of hoping with a bit of a push in the right direction construction companies and individuals will see the benefits of not putting materials into the ground, which could be used for other construction.

"The construction industry, by contrast, generates 90m tonnes of waste a year, producing about 32% of the UK's total waste. Up to a third of construction materials end up in landfill and nearly 13% of materials delivered to building sites never get used." (The Guardian, Wednesday 27 August 2008)

I think it be good for UK building companies or contractors to be able to post there excess waste/building materials onto a site, where people trying to source cheap local building materials will be able to purchase and collect the materials. The person selling the materials will be able to save on landfill tax or even make some money from the items and the buyers would benefit from cheap building materials.

I think you should extend your slogan to very briefly explain the purpose of the site right there on the homepage. Something like: "eWasted -The Auction Site for Construction Professionals... finding a new home for abandoned tools". Something like that anyway. In your actual About us section you should also list some companies you currently work with. Gives you a bit more credibility, which is always useful when there are so many online brands, vying for peoples attention.
