Default Which fonts are considered friendly?

Some websites fonts don't work properly on all computers. Can someone tell me which fonts are the 'friendly' ones

If i remember, Web safe fonts include;

* Arial
* Courier New
* Georgia
* Times New Roman
* Verdana
* Trebuchet MS
* Helvetica

The most common font that is being uses is the arial black and the Times New Roman.

Don't use Times New Roman as a screen font.

I doubt also that Helvetica would be on everyone's machine so don't rely on that either.

Verdana or Tahoma (or at a push, Arial) to be safe.

i agree with Eagle on this one but i must confess that i would not use arial black unless i had to, as it is too bold and rigid, arial in bold is better, arial would be my first choice as everyone has it on their computer.

We use Arial mostly on all our websites. As I've noticed also from other sites, they use these fonts: Georgia, Verdana, Helvetica, Trebuchet MS & Times New Roman.
