The forum has had 7,047 adsense impressions this week - not bad for only a few threads.

So what can be deduced from this?

a) By comparing how many times the threads have been individually viewed you can tell that people are coming to the homepage of the site to see if there are any new threads, then leaving, only to return later.
b) There are a lot more people browsing than posting

Hi Jenny,
No, you only get paid if people click on the ads but because you can track how many times your ads have been displayed it can give you an idea of how busy your website is (a bit like a traffic counter) - If people do click on the ads it can range from a few pennies to £1 or more for a click.

Yeah I have been really busy over the last few days myself but when I get spare time I will help keep the place active, just I also find forums addictive and can waste a whole day on forums in what seems no time and then I have no work done.

Most importantly though you need to keep promoting the forum as much as you can getting new faces in, our last new member was on the 18th, 4 days ago.

Seriously though, I have loads of stuff to post - It was a close call as to whether I opened a blog or a forum - I chose the forum as it gives people the opportunity to post their own issues/ideas instead of simply agreeing with what someone added to a blog.

I'm also really happy with the domain name
www.MYBF.co.uk and www.MyBusinessForum.co.uk are both pretty memorable...

I also own a few of the alternatives, for example www.mybusinessforums.co.uk and www.yourbusinessforum.co.uk etc ... just in case there's any confusion between MY and YOUR. I'll get some redirects set up on those domains shortly.

I agree 100%... did you add a link to MYBF from your site?

There are people browsing the forum on and off all day - it would be great if they joined up (if only to say hi) as it's pretty painless and they have nothing to lose - maybe I'll offer a cash incentive?
