Default BBC takes the proverbial out of John Terry

In a recent article discussing the wages of premiership players, the BBC has a featured picture of John Terry with the following heading...

"Unlike their captain, wages at Chelsea have not slipped"

Not that I think it's either big or right but IF you happen to know any good John Terry jokes...feel free to share them with me

if you want to read the full article.. it's here

I hate football nowadays, but used to support Manchester United when I was younger so should enjoy having a laugh about this but to be honest...

Well I just dont really care, they moan footballers make all this money but yet, its for reasons like this, that they carnt do anything without the whole world going crazy about it.

The reason they get paid so much is cos so many people want to waste their money paying to go see them and buying kits and other football goods. Sponsers will pay millions just to have a certain football to wear their product cos so many people idolize them.

If nobody cared about football then they would not get paid so much would they? Cos they would not be able to make the money they do from all the supporters and money generated by the hype.

I have no problem with the players making a lot of money. They have the potential to bring in the crowds, the trophies and make the club a lot of money from merchandising, so I'm not bitter about them making £100,000/week
Most careers are very short so they have to make their money as soon as possible. I heard on TV the other day that Kimi Raikkonen gets paid £1M per race for ferrari!

Not bad money for a few hours drive...
