Default Stockholders to sue Alistair Darling

A campaign group representing 2m Lloyds Banking Group shareholders is preparing to take the Bank of England governor Mervyn King and Chancellor Alistair Darling to court over the secret £61bn bailout of HBOS and RBS.

Lloyds Action Now (LAN), which has appointed the TV presenter Alice Beer as a spokesperson, says they acted 'beyond their powers' in keeping the funding secret at a time when Lloyds shareholders were asked to vote in favour of the take over of HBOS.

News of the secret bailout came on Tuesday as policymakers finally owned up to the huge loans at a parliamentary hearing, having kept the move secret for fear of sparking further panic in equity markets.

LAN said it is to make an application for Judicial Review to the High Court.

'Had the true state of HBOS been known to Lloyds shareholders there is no way they would have voted for the takeover,' said Alice Beer, the former BBC Watchdog presenter who is campaigning on behalf of shareholders.

'Information that the law clearly says they should have was deliberately withheld from them to ensure the merger went through,' she added.

Shares in Lloyds fell sharply soon after the HBOS acquisition, when the problems at the Scottish bank became apparent.

I'm not sure what your position is on this but I happen to think it's a disgrace that £61B can be moved around silently when it's almost impossible for the government to spend a few million on something without there being an outcry. I'd be interested to know what is the worst that could happen to Darling and King.... locked in the Tower.... or a slapped wrist?

I suspect the very worst would be a slapped wrist, but whatever happens to these two men it probably wont affect them too much as they will have already made their millions anyway.

What a joke, just this week Mr Brown has said that he is giving 1 million to the people and businesses of Cockermouth to help them get over the recent flood damage...how kind of him to be so generous!

Someone that I know attended the inquest of her son this week who died out in Afghanistan, how she must have felt hearing that her son hadn't been issued with the correct body armour I cannot imagine.

Yes a total disgrace.

There is this document usually called Stockholders Profile. But yes, this document is regulated for instance by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

I quite agree that Viaddress.com at http://www.viaddress.com offers the lowest shipping rates to forward packages from the US to other countries. Anyone can do a comparison of the shipping rates and find out that Viaddress is the best option if you’re planning to shop from US merchants.

The fact that they don’t have a Setup fee or a monthly membership fee, had convinced me to use them for my last purchase from the states, and I’m quite satisfied with the speed of the processing of my packages.

I decided to follow them on twitter at http://twitter.com/viaddress and I got hold of some pretty generous coupons that I used to get some pretty darn good discounts!

After spending a few hours comparing the shipping rates for all the package forwarding companies mentioned in this forum and other forums on the web, I found out that Viaddress.com at http://www.viaddress.com offers the lowest shipping rates according to the shipping calculators on all those sites.

Their Package forwarding service is actually FREE !, with NO set up fees and NO monthly membership fees and they also offer FREE Concierge Service!!! While other companies charge you 5% to 15% commission fee. It also says on their website http://www.viaddress.com that they have the biggest Personal shopper service on Ebay.com in the US.

Well… All of these good points convinced me to try them… and I’m glad I did...

I have used them to shop from Ebay in the US and on other couple of US sites that didn't ship outside the US and I was able to save a lot on shipping by combining all my boxes in one large box for FREE! You can do this by using the package consolidation tool in your account area on Viaddress.com.

Arrow White Chillout server Begins December 5

It's called White for snow =)This is the Chillout (Blue) server with a white look for Christmas. Polareia Borealis will be open (and should be accessible in a few days' time). You can buy gifts for each other - remember how cool it was to open your stocking on Christmas morning? I'm hanging to play Dreidel again. I forgot how much time I can waste playing that!Fiend seems to be a popular race, so it's here again. In the next few days I will be adding a few more races replica watches. 30 day tourney, 10 turns per game day, 1 day per 24 hours, so this is a relaxed pace tourney, and remember that most of the PB modules are quite generous.
